A day so full of events, family, friends and relatives that it took\u00a0lunch<\/strong>, an\u00a0evening meal\u00a0<\/strong>and two cakes to fit it all in.
\nThe story\u2019s like the script from a Romantic film.\u00a0 A girl and a boy who\u2019ve known each other since they were kids.\u00a0 Fast-forward 16 years, the two bump into each other by complete coincidence and bingo! They fall hopelessly in love.
\nThree years on and Massimiliano can\u2019t wait to pop the question.\u00a0 He just wants to choose the right day. And so it\u2019s to be on Elisa\u2019s 40th Birthday in November 2016.
\nThings quickly pick up pace. They choose the only place they want to exchange their vows: the\u00a0Pieve di Santa Giulia in Caprona<\/strong>.\u00a0 A romantic, Roman church, dear to them both.
\nAnd there can only be one\u00a0venue for the reception<\/strong>, because Elisa was born and grew up just around the corner from here.\u00a0 So when she brings Massimiliano to visit our\u00a0quaint little hamlet<\/strong>, it takes just one look to\u00a0convince him it\u2019s perfec<\/strong>t.
\nWhat to say about the\u00a0wedding dress<\/strong>? Because Elisa has her mind made up before she\u2019s even left the changing room.\u00a0\u00a0Romantic<\/strong>, with a\u00a0plunge neckline<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0train<\/strong>.
\nSo with these preparations quickly underway, Elisa and Massimiliano set about starting work on the renovation of their house. And just to keep them busy they decide to make all of the\u00a0decorations for venue all on their own too<\/strong>!\u00a0 7 months of hard toil follow before their\u00a0day-long wedding<\/strong> comes around in what\u2019s to be one of the hottest days of August 2017.[\/vc_column_text][mk_gallery images=”1064,1070,1072,1076″ column=”4″ height=”300″][mk_padding_divider size=”20″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1605772975827{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Elisa arrives at the church at 10 in a romantic,\u00a0horse-drawn carriage<\/strong>, a little surprise that Massimiliano had in store for his radiant Bride.
\nInside three priests from the couple\u2019s parishes are ready to perform the religious ceremony and to read out a\u00a0special blessing from Pope Frances<\/strong>. It\u2019s a touching service that brings a tear to the eye of all the friends, family and relations who\u2019ve gathered for this special day.
\nThe\u00a0Bridal car<\/strong>\u00a0parked outside is a quirky blue Fiat 500 that puts a smile on your face just to look at.\u00a0 And so the fun and laughter begins.
\nAt\u00a0Valle di Badia<\/strong>\u00a0the couple four instalments that the couple have made for the guests representing their most important values await:\u00a0\u00a0Love<\/strong>,\u00a0Family<\/strong>,\u00a0Friendship<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Constancy<\/strong>. Wooden frames and ribbons surround photos, memes and fortune charms for each one.
\nAnd at the place setting of each friend or relative, there\u2019s a different\u00a0good luck charm<\/strong>\u00a0to be taken away to remember the day. A\u00a0tasteful arrangement of flowers<\/strong>\u00a0and a little white tree.\u00a0 This last present, symbolises the bond between the couple and their guests:\u00a0the leaves that will never fall from the tree<\/strong>.
\nAnd the guests had occasion to express their special feelings and fondness too: from the Pope\u2019s signed blessing; to the\u00a0photographs and ribbons decorating the lines of grapevines<\/strong>\u00a0leading up to the church; to the\u00a0videos\u00a0<\/strong>showing memories of their childhood; to the\u00a0parchment scroll in rhyme<\/strong>\u00a0to keep in memory of the day.\u00a0 A day brimming with events and surprises, interrupted only by the\u00a0launch of white balloons and fireworks<\/strong>.
\nAfter the cutting of the second cake, some guests leave and some remain to chat until\u00a04 in the morning<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 It\u2019s unbelievably late and there\u2019s not even been the time to fit in any dancing!\u00a0 Just as well the couple are off for a month long Honeymoon.
